Matej Štesko is music composer (*1985, Banská Bystrica, SK)

His work focuses on scenic music for drama and music for documentaries. He also creates sound design for online games and radio.

He collaborates with professional theaters in the Czech Republic and Slovakia (Pod Palmovkou theater, FX Šalda theater, P. Bezruč theater, Studio of dance, Theather from passage, Odivo, etc). He also composed and wrote music and for five musicals, which have been performed by children from art schools. In 2016, he released the author’s studio album Sirens.

Matej has been involved in music since he was a child, playing the piano and guitar. In the years 2004-2012 he was a member of several rock bands.

He currently lives in Prague, where he works in his own recording studio.

His music is inspired by the work of Basil Poledouris, Clint Mansell, Danny Elfman and Hans Zimmer.
